The glorification and romanticization of violence is sadly nothing unusual in our culture today, nor it is limited to political dissidents like anarchists. Nevertheless, the division that one draws between his beliefs (ham-fisted or otherwise) and his actions is a fundamental aspect of adult life that I believe most everyone can still understand. Plenty of folks harbor nitwitted notions about how they wish the world should be, yet they make the wise choice to leave those notions on the shelf and let society proceed in its typical fashion. Provocative zines and hot-headed comments on forums like the Indymedia site are intended by their authors to press sensitive buttons, and little else.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8826793.post-15029705332127130362007-06-16T10:40:00.000-05:002007-06-16T10:40:00.000-05:00Here is a story on the arsons printed in Confluenc...Here is a story on the arsons printed in Confluence last year, discussing related relevant issues, unlike what you find on urbanreviewstl.com.

http://www.stlimc.org/newswire/display/2383/index.phpAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8826793.post-30306906649084331382007-06-15T13:27:00.000-05:002007-06-15T13:27:00.000-05:00"...self-professed" (anarchists) I think the phras..."...self-professed" (anarchists)

I think the phrase you are looking for is "self-possessed".Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
