The dingier Days Inn got, the more I liked it because it was just so out of place. All downtowns need some seedy stuff. But you're right: the new re-use is absolutely gorgeous. And smart on both an eco- and financial level. And the work was done without any fanfare or drama; just "get 'er done." Fascinating project.
