Most Disgusting Slogan Ever

There is a convention of Hardee's franchise owners in St. Louis right now.

The convention is named "Meat Me in St. Louis."

That is all I have to say on that topic.

I think it's clever. Hardees has really good burgers. They are so think and juicy.

I came up with the same slogan for a steak house client a few years ago. It sounded fine. I killed it when I saw how stupid it looked in print.

PE

Hardee's burgers taste like the meat from Whoppers at Burger King, except there's more of it that you have to eat.

PE, yeah, that pun kind of suggests itself. And as for print, that's the thing--I walked around the corner and there were the words, all big and bold on a large poster. It did not look or sound good. Then again, neither do the burgers!

Even though it applies to a different brand, I'm reminded of the old Simpsons episode where one of Lisa's friends is telling a group of kids how "I was so hungry I had to eat ARBY'S!" and all the kids scream "EWWWWW!"

Anony #1, I refer you to anony #3. But if you want to eat that, it's certainly your prerogative. I guess I shouldn't go on too long on this topic, since I've been known to eat Taco Bell once in a while (sans the grade D meat).

I should add.... When our electrician came over this morning to examine some shorted out 25 year old replica gaslights, he brought up Meet Me in St. Louis. I giggled.
