Last week The University News, St. Louis University's campus paper, published a letter to the editor that I wrote about proposed changes to Pius XII Memorial Library, a stunning work in the Modern Movement style.

I love the Pius XII library. Having spent many, many hours there as an undergrad/grad student, the building has always felt like home to me. It has a remarkable combination of huge, soaring ceilings and windows with cozy, quiet spaces. The views, particularly from the Lindell side, are very impressive.
What are your thoughts on the addition that was added in the 80's?
