St. Louis Centre Project Grows

Pyramid's St. Louis Centre project has grown to include the old Mercantile Library Building, the Railway Exchange Building and the dreadful old Edison Brothers parking garage.

I scanned in this old picture of 6th & Locust, pre- St. Louis Centre. It looks to be about 1980. I remember the old blue and green Bi-State buses-- so much cooler than the current red, white and blue color scheme.

I'll be so very happy to see the last bits of the inhospitable St. Louis Centre be removed and reconstructed. I'm assuming the remaining white-clad buildings will take on a different look. Is that correct?
