Hmm, it would appear that modern development patterns haven't quite evolved in the manner evisioned. To anon 9:09 goes the Win! Ba-dum-bum!
I find the combination of futurism and blatant steals from Venice beguiling.
I want my Mississippi gondolas... and that googie Eiffel Tower somewhere around Grand Center. Also the idea of cordless streetcars bears some merit.
